AllyCAD 2014 in Education

To date, over 200 schools and Colleges around South Africa have received training in AllyCAD as part of their Design and Technology curriculum and we have an increasing demand to see its implemetation facilitated in other educational institutions.

Our AllyCAD educational training coordinator, Brett Murray explains that the software is "ideally suited to the requirements of schools and colleges in their design and technology subjects because it provides both intuitive and time saving tools, while at the same time, it allows the draughtsperson to develop a design through a logical sequence and by working with raw data and dimensions as required." These qualities are the very same strengths which are highly regarded by engineers and draughtspersons in the design industry and help explain why AllyCAD clients remain so loyal to the product.

Client Testimony
DUALLING OF THE R310

Road Dualling

Design office manager Gideon Hahn of EFG engineers relies on AllyCAD and the Knowledge Base Support Centre for their infrastructure design projects. AllyCAD has recently been used extensively for a large scale project near Stellenbosch which includes the dualling of the R310 between the N2 and the Stellenbosch arterial road.

Gideon has been particularly impressed with the time saving features inherent within the software and explains that "the plan layout feature means that there is no need to redraw the entire drawing when there are alterations to a design. Further, the new Block Editor feature also significantly cuts design time. Editing blocks is easy and changes immediately reflect through the entire drawing."
