General Functions

The General functions allow you to set up functions and drawing element parameters.

SETTINGS

• Use standard or custom paper sizes • Cartesian or Surveyor coordinate systems • Southern or Northern Hemisphere survey coordinates • Place the origin point anywhere on the drawing • Change the drawing scale at any time • Metric, Imperial or user-defined units • 65,000 layers with layer names of up to 31 characters • 256 pens (colours) • Custom line styles such as fences, rail and telephone lines • Undo/Redo up to 1000 levels • Exceptionally fast zooms, pans and redraws • Single key magnify, de-magnify, pan and redraw • Use any colour and line type on any layer or assign pens to    layers • Highlight layers in different colours • Lock layers so that entities can not accidentally be changed or    moved • Re-centre paper over any part of the drawing

	CUSTOMISATION
• User-definable menu and toolbar • One-key shortcuts • Powerful and easy macro language with over 450 commands    includes variables, loops, file handling, etc. • Interact with other windows programs using Dynamic Data    Exchange (DDE)
	BILL OF MATERIALS
• Create Bill of Material lists with a single command • User-defined items and layout allow you to customise the output • Counts number of objects • Calculates length, area and perimeter of all objects
	DIGITISER SUPPORT
• Support for most popular digitisers as well as a generic ASCII    input stream where you configure your own format • Map any button to any CAD function • Accurate scaling from tablet to drawing coordinates • Use the digitiser at any time interchangeably with the mouse
	INPUT / OUTPUT
• Import, scale and position drawings in the current drawing • Read and write AutoCAD DWG/DXF, Caddie CEX, ArcView SHP    and ASCII files • Print any part of a drawing at any scale with user-defined line    thickness and colour
