WHY IT IS NECESSARY TO HAVE THE LATEST BUILDS
What is a Build?
A Build, also referred to as a “Patch”, is a software update that
serves to improve the performance and stability of the program. It
is part of an ongoing software development process aimed at
producing error free software. A build does not necessarily add new
features to the program but will sometimes only enhance the
existing package.
If you are running the latest version of the software, then all
known errors should be fixed. It is therefore important to have
the latest version of the software which may be downloaded and
installed from
our website www.allycad.com. In addition to
this, it is also advisable to ensure that you have the latest
driver updates for your pc i.e. printer drivers and/or graphic
card drivers and that you have the latest updates of Windows
installed.
Should a new bug be found in a current release, then a crash
report will be sent to the Support Division or the problem
replicated so that the accumulated bug fixes can be added to the
build. Having the latest software version installed therefore
improves t he overall stability of the program.
