SALES EXPANSION

 

We are pleased to introduce our Key Accounts Managers with the latest regional allocations with effect 26 September 2005.

 

 

Reece Hanning National Key Accounts Manager	Reece oversees all national and international Key Accounts and is also the Regional Key Accounts Manager for the Western Cape, East Cape and Namibia region. Reece has been a familiar face on the Knowledge Base sales team for the last four years and has an extensive customer solutions track record. Reece currently holds a Diploma in Surveying at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology.
Charles Scott Regional Key Accounts Manager	Charles is the Regional Key Accounts Manager for the Gauteng, Limpopo, North West Province & Botswana region and will continue to assist in KZN until November 2005. He has built up a solid foundation at Power Construction Western Cape and has an excellent working knowledge of Civil Designer and AllyCAD. Charles currently holds a Diploma in Civil Engineering at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology.
David Bredenkamp Regional Key Accounts Manager	David is our newest recruit on the sales team and joined Knowledge Base on 01 September. He will be responsible for the Kwazulu Natal, Free State, Lesotho, Swaziland, Mpumalanga & Zimbabwe region. David graduated in Building and Construction at the Technical College Kempton Park and went on to complete his Diploma in Civil Engineering at PE Technikon. He has worked for companies like B & E Silica, King Williams Town and Dynamic Fluid Control and is proficient in both AllyCAD and Civil Designer.

 

The Key Accounts Managers are committed to meeting and exceeding your service expectations and will continue to provide you with the best solution to your design needs. Please be sure to watch out for subsequent visits from the sales team in the next few weeks!

FONTS IN ALLYCAD

AllyCAD uses a standard Windows font system. You can also convert DXF and DWG fonts to AllyCAD equivalents in the DXF/DWG Conversion Settings dialog box in the Settings Menu.

 

If there is a font that you do not know the name of in the DXF or DWG file you are converting, then you can use the UNKNOWNNAME setting in the “For DXF Font” section of the DXF/DWG Conversion Setting dialog box. Select the AllyCAD font you would like to convert it to in the “Use AllyCAD” section and proceed.
 

Should the fonts you would like to convert to or from not appear in the list of fonts in the DXF/DWG Conversion Settings dialog box, then you can add further fonts by reading the CAD.INI file in your User Home directory into a word processor and then adding the required font names to the existing listing.

Font styles can be set in the “Set Text Defaults” option. The name of the currently selected font is written on the button at the top left-hand corner of the “Set Text Defaults” dialog box. When you click on this button, the Font Dialog Box will appear. This allows you to select the font you would like to use.
 

Fonts in AllyCAD can be customized to suit your individual requirements. You can set the text height, character width, line spacing, text alignment, the angle at which text will be placed on the drawing and the position of text relative to the cursor position chosen. You can also embolden or italicise it, change its colour, and strike or underline it. With AllyCAD there is unlimited functionality and you can be assured of a quick and easy operation time after time!
