ALLYCAD
& CIVIL DESIGNER STUDENT AWARDS
The
annual merit award ceremonies recently took place at the Free
State Central University of Technology and the Cape Peninsula
University of Technology respectively. These awards were
issued to students who performed exceptional work in the 2004
academic year and who produced top-class CAD designs.
The
Faculty of Engineering, Information & Communication
Technology at the Free State Central University of Technology,
held their annual prize giving ceremony on Friday 06 May
2005.
Mr. G.
Ntimane (right) received the AllyCAD award for being the best
CAD-drawing student and obtained an average of 91% in the
CAD-course. Congratulating him and handing over the Knowledge
Base floating trophy, is Mr Jurie Vermaak, Learning Programme
Head for Civil Engineering.
The
second award ceremony was held at the Cape Peninsula
University of Technology's Civil Engineering and Surveying
Department on Wednesday 18 May 2005.
Awards
were issued in various categories and our National Sales
Manager, Reece Hanning, was there to present the trophies.
The
first award went to Hilgard Terblanche and Wanro Hayes who
received a joint award for the Best Civil Design
Project.
The
second award went to Daniel Struwig for the Best First Year
AllyCAD Project.
And
last but not least, the third and final award went to Tracey
Pretorius for being the top student in Computer Applications
3.
We

students for their outstanding academic
achievements!
