FILL GEOMETRY
Geometry lines and circles can be traced over using AllyCAD's Fill Geometry, without having to change the draw mode or snap function.
|
To access this function, simply select 'Draw' and then choose the 'Geometry Trace Over' function. The program will prompt you to indicate a geometry intersection point. You then select the geometry element that you would like to trace over and the program will then request the end intersection point before tracing the selected element.
In addition to the 'Fill Geom' function, there is also the 'Fill Geom Circle' and the 'Fill Geom Arc'. To trace a geometry circle, the program prompts you to indicate which geometry circle needs to be filled. Once you have specified the circle, it will be traced with a single click of a button.
The 'Fill Geom Arc' works in a similar fashion. This function prompts the user to indicate the first point, then any position on the arc, and finally the end arc point. It then proceeds to trace the arc without having to change draw modes.

AllyCAD E-Learning Centre |

Following the adoption of AllyCAD as the preferred CAD package across many schools, colleges and technikons,
Knowledge Base is pleased to introduce the new AllyCAD e-Learning Centre. Educators and Learners will be able to benefit from a range of on-line services available including training material
|
and video tutorials. The e-Learning Centre also includes a discussion forum available to educators and industry participants, and a separate learners forum.
New Forum topics will be introduced every month in order to facilitate dialogue between industry and education professionals around the application
of the Engineering Graphics and Design curriculum. Click here to register for access to the site.

AllyCAD Training at FET Colleges |

The 2007 recapitalisation programme for FET Colleges has resulted in educators across the country choosing to be trained in AllyCAD in order to equip themselves for the new NCV (National Certificate Vocational) qualification at college level.
|
|
Most recently attendees of the training included Boland College, West Coast Winelands, the College of Cape Town, North Link College and False Bay College. AllyCAD software will roll out to these institutions as the exclusive medium of choice following successful completion of training. Seen in the picture are Educational Trainers with representatives from all five colleges.
