Symbols in AllyCAD
 |
Symbols are drawings in which the primitives are grouped into an object. Symbols can be imported and used in any drawing and they have the advantage of maintaining their allocated hook point, attributes and the snip box area as defined
|
by the user. Each object has a hook point, which acts as a reference point. For example, if you import an object from one drawing into another as a symbol, the object will appear in the second drawing with its hook point at the cursor position.
Symbols can also be created with attributes and the attributes can be exported as a
Bill of Materials file for assisting in the production of a Bill of Materials document.
Click here for more information on creating symbols and here for information on Creating a Bill of Materials.

YVETTE RUNDLE

"What I love about AllyCAD is that you can take a drawing off the bitmap and then scale it to a manageable size with ease. I find that AllyCAD is tops when it comes to bitmap handling. I also have to commend Brett from the Support Centre on excellent support time after time.."
