Defining zoom view areas
 |
AllyCAD allows you to allocate zoom views to a numbered list for ease of reference and manipulation.
Clicking on a number in the zoom view menu launches a large cross hair on the screen.
This can be dragged so as to create a box surrounding the area of focus.
This area will then be marked by green lines and will be numbered.
The views can be opened in full screen by pressing the view number on the keyboard.

Knowledge Base UK Presence |

Engineering Outreach |

The recent National Construction Week which was held from July 28 to 1 August 2008 as part of the Young Professional Forum's National Outreach Programme saw numerous consulting engineers participate.
|
Organizations were encouraged to nominate a school from their local community and then to invite pupils from the school to spend a day experiencing "A Day in the Life of a Consulting Engineer". The excursion was followed by a series of seminars on what it takes to be an engineer and the importance of pursuing Maths and Science at school level.
Following the successful outreach initiative, CESA (formerly SAACE), will be embarking on a survey to assess the impact that Corporate Social Investment initiatives are having on the industry.
Knowledge Base will continue to issue news releases on these programmes as part of an ongoing drive to raise the industry's profile.
