SA Institute of Draughting Partnership |

Knowledge Base has recently entered into a joint venture with the South African Institute of Draughting (SAID) in order to
promote the draughting discipline nationally. The partnership will involve the endorsement of AllyCAD
by the Institute, the compilation of a new FET educational textbook in 2008 and a national AllyCAD campaign to all private and
|
public FET colleges. Knowledge Base is proud of the association and looks forward to helping with the development of draughting standards in South Africa. Seen in the picture is Knowledge Base CEO Vincent Bester with Chris Brink SAID President.

Layer Settings In AllyCAD
 |
Different features of a drawing can be drawn on different layers to facilitate the viewing and printing of any combination of the drawing features.
You can alter the Layer Name, Visibility, Lock, Magnification and Highlight options from the Layer Settings dialog box.
|
If you draw "By Layer" you will be able to adjust the 'Layer Pen Colour' and control the layer line type and line width.
In addition, you can indicate whether you would like all the layers except the current layer that you are working on to be drawn in a dotted line type, or choose to draw each layer except the current layer in a different colour.
You can also choose whether you would like to work on all the layers or only a subset of layers. Layers can be sorted alpha-numerically and the settings can be saved and reloaded as required.
