Knowledge Base Training Accreditation |

Knowledge Base has recently had its training accreditation renewed to full accreditation with the ISETT SETA. The renewal was based on
|
|
the quality of our industry relevant AllyCAD and Civil Designer Training Programmes. All training courses are NQF aligned which means that companies can continue to claim back money spent on courses when they submit their Skills Development Plan. FET Colleges go with AllyCAD |

Knowledge Base has recently met with top level committee members at various FET Colleges in the Western Cape in order to roll out AllyCAD as the medium of choice. Colleges that have recently received training on the software include South Cape College and Boland College.
West Coast Winelands, the College of Cape Town, North Link College and False Bay College are to follow with training shortly.

The move forms part of Knowledge Base's broader educational social responsibility initiative to lend support and assistance with the education of Engineering Graphics & Design and Civil Technology subjects using AllyCAD.

BITMAP HANDLING
 |
The 'Batch Load Bitmaps' function in AllyCAD simplifies file management by allowing the user to load all bitmaps of supported types from a selected directory.
The most frequently encountered file types that the program supports includes JPEG, TIFF, BMP,
|
ECW and MrSID. In order to facilitate the automatic placement of these bitmaps, a world file of the same name as the bitmap must exist in the same folder. AllyCAD supports the following standard world files: LOG; TFW; SDW and HGR geo-referenced bitmaps. For Southern Hemisphere drawings, the sign of the co-ordinates in the world file will automatically be reversed.
AllyCAD handles very large bitmaps and the user can zoom, pan, annotate, or trace over the bitmap to build up a drawing.
