The Support Forum was created in order to provide a platform where users can discuss various online topics regarding AllyCAD with the rest of the civil engineering community.

HATCHING IN ALLYCAD
Hatching allows you to fill a specified area in a shape with your chosen pattern. You can therefore add detail to specific entities in a drawing for identification purposes. The program allows you to alter the hatch pattern of a hatch,
|
the hatch scale, hatch pen and/or the hatch perimeter. Hatched and solid fills can significantly slow down redraws. It is therefore a good idea to set Hatch to 'Draw' in the 'View Settings' dialog, to 'None'. This means that hatches will not be drawn on redraws. If you want to see your hatches, you can display them when you want to by using the 'Draw All Hatch' function in the Annotate Menu. AllyCAD also hatches ellipses and part ellipses for both solid and normal hatches and can import and export these to DWG/DXF as macros.

Knowledge Base Academy Learnership |

The final phase of planning is currently in progress for the Knowledge Base Academy Learnership. The Learnership has been designed to address the critical shortage of engineering and
design skills facing our country and will equip previously disadvantaged school and college leavers with the skills
|
they need to launch themselves into a successful civil engineering or design industry career path.
The Academy will provide outcomes based training across a broad range of technical drawing skills. It will also include fundamental life skills designed to provide the foundations necessary to achieve success in a Civil Engineering and Design industry career.
