AllyCAD TECH TIP
A feature that is seldom used in AllyCAD
or Civil Designer CAD is the advanced dimensioning.
There are various types of advanced dimensioning:
The dimension must show decimal tolerances above
each other.
Enter the following :- 46.7m\+(1

The dimension is shown as follows:

The dimension must show the tolerances above each

(BackslashForwardslash)50m

The dimension is shown as follows:

The dimension must show the tolerances above and
below the dimension line.
Enter the following :- 50m\\
(BackslashBackslash)49.9m

The dimension is shown as follows:

For dimensioning, where you know space will be a
problem, but would really like the dimension to site above the line and not
justified off to the left or right.
Enter the following : - 10.67m\/
(BackslashForwardslash)

The dimension is shown as follows: (this gives the
desired effect of having a line feed, and the dimension not being offset).

The user might also not want the "m" or the
dimension unit in the dimension.
Click on the Setting Menu -> Drawing Settings.

Click on the meter button. On the dialog that
appears remove the unit symbol.

All dimensions will now not show the unit symbol.
