Drawing a Building Grid (Structural Toolkit)

Building Grid: Select this option to draw a building grid.
Column Bases: Select this option to draw column bases once you have drawn the building grid.
Settings: Select this option to change the default settings for the grid and column bases.

Settings:
If you select the settings option AllyCAD will prompt:
Enter drawing sheet size (0,1,2,3,4) ?
Enter a number from from 0 to 4 where 0 represents A0 and 4 represent A4.
Enter drawing scale ?
Enter the scale of the drawing.
Enter linetype for grid
Enter the linetype you would like the grid drawn in.
Enter pen for grid
Enter the pen number for the grid.
Enter text height (mm) ?
Enter the text height in mm.
Enter text pen number
Enter the pen number for the grid annotation
Pick or create a layer from following the list and Set Current
Select or create a new layer you would like the grid drawn in and set it as current.
Building Grid:
If you select the building grid option AllyCAD will respond with the following prompts:
Enter first horizontal (x) spacing.
Enter the first spacing in current drawing units for the horizontal grid. AllyCAD will continue to prompt:
Enter next horizontal (x) spacing (else 0 to end)
AllyCAD will continue with the above prompt until you enter 0. Then it will prompt:
Enter first vertical (y) spacing
Enter the first spacing in current drawing units for the vertical grid. AllyCAD will continue to prompt:
Enter next vertical (y) spacing (else 0 to end)
AllyCAD will continue with the above prompt until 0 is entered and will ask:
Indicate top left hand corner of grid
Indicate the position on the drawing where you would like the grid placed.
Enter vertical grid line offset above top horizontal grid line
Enter the offset for the vertical grid above the horizontal grid line.
Enter horizontal grid line offset to left of vertical grid line
Enter the offset for the horizontal grid left of the vertical grid line.
Column Bases:
You should select this option only after you have drawn the building grid.
Enter length of base (else '0' zero to return to menu)
Enter the length of the column base in current drawing units, else enter 0 to return to the menu.
Enter width of base
Enter the width of the column base in current drawing units.
Indicate the position of base centre (space bar to enter new sizes)
Indicate the position of the base centre. The cursor will snap to the nearest building grid intersection as it is in intersection snap mode. If the [SPACEBAR] is pressed AllyCAD will give the above two prompts again.
