AllyCAD TECH TIP
|
Coordinating a drawing
This tech tip explains how to coordinate a drawing based
on known survey coordinates.
|
|
Drawings in AllyCAD can be in
either Cartesian or Surveyor Mode. Drawings in
Surveyor Mode can be coordinated, which is helpful if
used with design software like Civil Designer.
Settings:
Setting Menu › Drawing Settings
Select Surveyor under Coordinate System, then click on
the Surveyor Setup dialog.
To set the coordinates of a known point select Set
origin of known point.
Type in the coordinates of the known point.
Click OK to continue.
The program will then prompt for the point on the
drawing with the coordinates that were entered.
Once the drawing has been coordinated, go to another
known point on the drawing (preferably on the other
side of the drawing) and check if the point on the
drawing has the correct coordinates. If there are no
problems the drawing can then be saved.
