Searching For Text In A Drawing
This tech tip explains how to search for text in a
drawing. |
Performing the Search
Selection Filters are used to search for items
in a drawing.
Edit Menu › Selection Filters
or via the toolbar

The Selection Filer dialog will
appear.

Select the Text Tab

Check this to select the current font. |

Check this to select the current text size. |

Check this to select the current text label

Check this to select the current line space. |

Match Text Check Box |
Check this to match a text string to the one
in the edit box below. |

Match Text Edit Box |
Enter the text string you want matched. |

We are going to use the Match Text
option and search for Erf 35157 on the drawing.

Once the text has been entered, change
back to the Object Tab.

Click on the Select All button
to select the text entered.
Once the text has been selected, press Z on the
keyboard and then E (zoom selected). AllyCAD
will then zoom into the selected text.

Once the selection has been made, the
Selection Filters dialog can be closed. Remember to
click on the Filter reset button before closing.
